Golf Clothing - Shop Clever

Jesper Parnevik claims (and I believe him) that he walks straight off the course and into a nightclub. His golf clothing works on the course and off the course. Actually, whilst you're probably not looking to hit the nightclub, there's a good chance that you're looking for more from your golf clothing than you previously did (and so you should).
This doesn't mean taking your cue from GQ! It means understanding the technology (climate control and freedom of movement), and being able to choose clothing that supports your needs on-course and off-course.
Last summer, there were still many golfers wearing heavy fabric golf shirts, even on very hot days.
My advice would be to keep two or three athletic shirts that focus on providing breathable, moisture wicking material, keeping you cool and dry, without hindering your swing.
When you're on the back nine in the late afternoon, shirts with these features really do the trick.
Some of these materials are also UV resistant by the way.
Don't do away with the more traditional, cotton shirts - these are also packed with technology - wrinkle resistant, double mercerized, soft 'feel good' materials.
In fact, I would have two or three moisture wicking 'sportsman' shirts and a couple of the double mercerized cotton, polo style shirts for cooler days, or even for after golf in the clubhouse.
When you are next in the shop, spend some time looking at the different styles and
technologies available - select a cross section that'll suit your game on and off the
course.
